Exam Information

Exam Dates 2025 – 2026

MOCK EXAMS

Year 10 Mock Exams (All subjects): 16th-30th June 2026.

EXTERNAL EXAMS

Year 11 GCSE External Practical Exams will take place between March and May 2026 (specific dates will be communicated by subject teachers in due course).

Year 11 & Year 9 Summer External Written Exams will be between 5 May – 18 June.

All details regarding rooming and seating arrangements have been distributed to students and are available to view on MCAS and the Student Portal.

Please be aware that students taking external summer exams must also be available on 24 June 2026 for the JCQ contingency day.


Home Languages – Summer 2026

Information around the possibility of taking an additional language GCSE/A Level Qualification is here – Laurus Trust Home Language Examination Protocol.


Equipment for Exams

In Year 9, all students are expected to bring two black pens to their Language exams. 

In Year 11, all students are expected to bring a scientific calculator (no lids allowed) and the following equipment in a clear pencil case to all their exams (including internal/mock examinations): 

  • 2 black pens 
  • Pencil 
  • Ruler 
  • Eraser 
  • Compass 
  • Protractor

Please note: Water bottles are allowed, however, they must be see-through, have no writing and have labels removed.

Prohibited Items

The following are not allowed in exams:

  • No Mobile phones (must be switched off and left in bag in cloakroom)
  • No watches or smart watches, Air Pods or similar or any web-enabled device.
  • No items or papers in pockets.

Exam Contingency Date Information – Summer 2026

The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) has designated Wednesday 24th June as the single contingency day for the summer 2026 examination series. Candidates are expected to remain available for examinations up to and including this date, as it is reserved for national or significant local disruption to exams in the UK


Results Day 2026

GCSE Results Day has been confirmed as Thursday, 20 August 2026.
