The Autumn Term has been a fantastic start to the academic year at Laurus Cheadle Hulme, with lots of exciting things going on! To end what has been a brilliant year, we have wrapped up some of the highlights from the last few events and have a festive message from Mr Peet.
Winter Concert:
We had a brilliant Winter Concert with more musicians than ever! All students have worked so hard in preparation for their Winter Concert, thank you to everyone who took part and anyone behind the scenes who helped make the performance show stopping!
World of Work:
Year 9 took part in a World of Work careers event recently. They have had the chance to listen to four different speakers from four different industries including Booking.com and the Bank of New York. They have heard these guest speakers talk about their job as well as their career pathway to date. Undoubtedly, this has given the students some inspiration in their own ‘Life After Laurus’ thinking. Thank you to the Salford Foundation for providing these guest speakers for the benefit of our students!
Book Swap:
We had a book swap party in the library on 19th of December at lunchtime. To be invited they had to bring a book to donate. Everyone brought a book to the library with them, whilst they had snacks, christmas fun and best of all lots of free books!
