The Laurus Trust is pleased to announce the launch of our Section 10 consultation for our proposed new school, Laurus Cheadle Hulme. As part of the process of opening a Free School, the Department for Education requires a consultation* under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010. This enables local residents, headteachers, staff and governors from local schools, parents, elected members, community groups and any other interested parties to share their views.
The consultation period for Laurus Cheadle Hulme will run from Wednesday 1st March 2017 to Wednesday 26th April 2017. This is an important step in our journey to opening in September 2018. We would like to hear from all the community in the coming weeks to help inform the Secretary of State for Education’s decision on whether to enter into a Funding Agreement with the Laurus Trust. We want to listen to your comments and act on any feedback to ensure our School is the best it can be and meets the needs of the community we serve. All the information is available in our consultation document here. We would particularly like to hear your views on our proposed admissions policy.
