We are proud to be well on our way to achieving the Rainbow Flag Award at Laurus Cheadle Hulme.
This national award focuses on positive LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and other related identities) inclusion and visibility in schools and colleges.
It encourages a whole organisation approach including the implementation of strategies to effectively challenge and combat LGBT-phobic bullying.
Our work towards achieving the Rainbow Flag Award is a commitment to improving the lives of our students, including those who identify as LGBT+ and those from LGBT+ families, as well as LGBT+ staff members.
Last term, we achieved the first of the six standards required and aim to complete the award in full by September.
Thanks to the hard work carried out by staff to date, we can proudly display the Rainbow Flag: Skilled Teacher badge on our website.
