Laurus Cheadle Hulme students stunned the audience with their original production Curtain Call this week. The show took place over two nights, selling out the final night.
This was the students’ debut performance at Laurus Cheadle Hulme with the cast coming from the school’s founding year.
The show included excerpts from a range of musicals including Oliver!, Matilda and Mary Poppins.
The cast sang and danced while telling the story of a theatre being demolished. The brand new story, penned by drama teacher Mrs Bradley, took our audience back in time to all the different productions that had been staged at the theatre.
Cast members performed solos and group numbers as a whole range of different characters thoroughly entertained the audience.
