Local parents/carers are delighted that planning permission has now been granted for the new Laurus Trust schools in Cheadle Hulme. From 2018 parents/carers will have an increased chance of securing a Laurus education for their children.
Having met hundreds of interested parents/carers, Gill Theobold, Head of School Designate, commented “The timing is perfect, parents of Year 6 children can now select Laurus Cheadle Hulme with confidence ahead of the application deadline of 31st October.”
It also comes at a time when the Department for Education performance tables position the Laurus Trust’s founder school Cheadle Hulme High School in the top 2% of non-selective schools nationally for Year 11 attainment. Linda Magrath, Executive Headteacher of Laurus secondary schools, said “It is this culture of high expectation and achievement that will be replicated across all Laurus schools and is a testament to the hard work of the staff, students and parents.”
